ADT ask… What’s your top home security tip?
As we are always looking to provide the best security advice we can, we thought what better way than to team up with other experts from within our sector to provide you with a list of top home security tips.
We identified a number of key influencers from within the home security community and asked if they would like to collaborate on a visual content piece that would be informative and helpful.
We approached a collection of experts to achieve a number of tips that would cover a range of areas, with the final list of contributors listed below:
- North Wales Police
- The Crime Prevention Website
- Victim Support
- Chief Constable Nick Gargan from Avon and Somerset Police
- Mark Shaw, ADT’s Residential Director
- Neighbourhood Watch
- Alex Coley, former Head of Digital Services at the Metropolitan Police
- Inspector Ben Gillard from Leicestershire Police
Once the contributors had agreed to join us in this piece of work we asked them one simple question: What’s your top home security tip? Each contributor provided a top tip which they felt was key to making people’s homes safer, each tip was then released on a daily basis for two weeks across our Twitter and Google+ accounts.
The tips ranged from having a visible alarm, how much information you should share over social media, fitting security lighting, to making your home look occupied. Each of these tips eventually led to the infographic on our site. Why not take a look at the list of tips… How many do you carry out?
